Policies

SOCIOS is dedicated to fostering a scholarly environment where integrity, transparency, and ethical practices are paramount. We recognize that the cornerstone of ethical publishing is the trust between the platform, its contributors, and the wider scholarly community. To uphold this trust, our preprint policies follow guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), especially those highlighted in the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. While COPE guidelines are not tailored to preprints, the core ethical principles are relevant within the context of SOCIOS as they help us to prevent unethical publishing behaviors that compromise the quality and credibility of the research we disseminate.

Our policies apply to all preprint submissions, versions, and associated peer reviews on the platform.

Failure to comply with our policies may result in the preprint being withheld from publication or, in the case of post-publication non-compliance, retraction of the preprint.
